“Beefcake and hamantaschen may seem an odd menu, but in the New York City Opera’s first season in two years, they somehow make a balanced meal.” [NY Post]

Puzzler for the day: a two-parter.
1. What is “the first left-wing operetta?”
2. How does that work relate to the above photo from Don Giovanni?
Well, that was Jean-Luc Godard’s description of The Pajama Game…
… but I see that Harry has trumped me – while by-passing this hot new Reply facility…
Photo from Don Giovanni? Looks more like an attempt to convince a draft board to reject two potential inductees.
But hey, Da Ponte wound up in New Jersey!
The director took his idea from the finale of the Broadway show, The Pajama Game except it is now been up market titled The Suit Game. This is supposedly ‘opera’ we are talking about. Not some trifle for the plebs from the’burbs’!!!!
Bravo, Harry!
Q.P.Y: ‘rejecting two potential army inductees’? But where are their handbags to slap on the counter as they sign their admission forms? Get the props director NOW!
bravo!
it looks like a pretty nice suit, too… Hugo Boss?
That’s Hugo on the left, and Boss on the right.
Perhps it is like a Big Mac’s offer. Take the two and they throw in extra mayo as a benefit.
Perhaps it is like a Big Mac’s offer. If you take the two they throw in extra mayo as a benefit.
I’d like to inject some serious opera criticism here:
They look terrifically hot to me.
