After more than a year of being unemployed, I am incredibly grateful to be returning to work with a great company in Irvine, Orange County, CA, at the end of this month. I am also pretty excited to add coverage of nearby performances while I am getting settled here in Southern California. (I will still be back and forth from the Bay Area for the foreseeable future.) 

This season, I am super excited for the Pacific Opera Project’s grand 15th Anniversary Season. I am so looking forward to the LA premiere of the rarely seen Daniel Auber’s Fra Diavolo, the revival of Star Trek-themed Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Turandot with Clay Hilley as Calaf (in what looks like his only US appearance this season), and the LA premiere of Zorro, whose Northern California premiere I reviewed last April.
