Mrs DanversYour doyenne servant La Cieca has one quick suggestion for you, the cher public (pictured, left) and she’s sure you’ll read attentively after the jump.

We are finding that at parterre box, just as everywhere else on the internet, a significant proportion of the readership arriving at the site arrive here because they have seen a link on social media, mostly Facebook and Twitter. So La Cieca would like to ask that you faithful readers, commenters and the Silent Majority alike, take a moment to post your favorite parterre stories on these platforms.

It’s really easy: at the foot of each story you’ll find several social media buttons, like so:

Click on “Share” button to post the story to your Facebook account, and “Tweet” to send it to Twitter.

Should you care to send a link to the story via email or to other social media, simply right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac) on the headline to the story to copy the link.

La Cieca is sure that this small hint, without any veiled threats, will encourage you to spread the word about parterre box. If not, well, you will get a gentle reminder. Like so:

During his 20 year career as an opera critic he wrote for the New York Times, Opera, Gay City News, Opera Now, Musical America and the New York Post. He also raised his voice in punditry on National Public Radio. From time to time he directed opera, including three unsuccessful productions of Don Giovanni. He also contributed a regular column on opera for the New York Observer. James died in October 2023.
