“Big news from The Dallas Opera: just before the 7:30pm curtain for last night’s performance of Salome, CEO Keith Cerny announced from the stage that, due to complications from a hip injury, Deborah Voigt would not be performing Wednesday night. In her place, soprano Lise Lindstrom sang the role…. A source familiar with the production reports that Ms. Lindstrom insisted on foregoing a body suit for the dance scene, opting instead to end the opera’s famous strip tease more authentically (read: topless).” [Front Row]
