Oh no no no. Must be a mistake, these two persons are both males.

  • Mazeltov!

and that pic should be submitted to the Husband-twins site.

Well ya know what they say:
Boys who look like me like boys who look like me.
So happy for them! Is getting all weepy…

    Moegen sie treulich gefuehrt sein!

That Ruth, she is a sly one! She’ll probably get free tickets to his performances now. For life!

    • Sempre liberal says:

I think Ruth is an opera fan, so this must be wonderful for her too.

Ginsberg is dressed to the nines at the Kennedy Center and always there. Daniels I recall saying at a Carnegie concert that his long-term relationship was the proudest accomplishment of his life. So Mazel tov to the grooms and their blessor.

Good luck, boys, for marriage is a tough row to hoe. The toughest!

Remember to have patience, to forgive and then really to FORGET, and to always try to remember the stuff that brought you together in the first place, if all else fails.

Like old age, marriage ain’t for sissies.

    Congratulations to them both!

A song for the wedding night?

      • danpatter says:

Yes, I know it’s not really appropriate, but it’s just so beautiful and so beautifully sung by Daniels.

        • Henry Holland says:

*sigh* What fabulous music Britten wrote there, beautifully sung indeed. Thanks for posting that, a quick search shows it was released as a DVD, I’d love to see it.

It’s a Carsen production, and I liked it quite a bit. Fine performance, and Daniels is in great voice throughout. You won’t be disappointed. I have the DVD and I love it. However, the complete performance is on YouTube if you want to see it. There’s no identifying data, but here it is:

Thanks for the link, my boss is gone tomorrow, I’ll watch it at work. :-)

          • NPW-Paris says:

            One of Carsen’s best efforts.

Being in a 49-year happy same-sex relationship (no s-s marriage here in CO) Congratulations!! My only advice is to LAUGH a lot!

    • Sempre liberal says:

Hard to believe he’s been in a 49-year happy same-sex relationship. He barely looks 49! Watch out, Domingo!

    • Operngasse says:

      Congratulations!

As far as no marriage in CO, nothing that a little trip can’t solve. California does not have a residency requirement, so make an appointment at SF City Hall and fly on over:

Marriage and a honeymoon opera -- sounds pretty romantic.

Heard a super performance of Salome this evening with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Maestro Nezet-Sequin conducted. The entire cast outstanding, especially Camilla Nylund , the Salome . One more show this Saturday evening. If you are in the area , Run don’t walk.
