He’s a good guy with a decent voice. His personal life is more interesting than his stage presence, for sure. He dumped an great chick for a total loser, controlling PUTA!!!

#11, it looks like the Met thinks Angie might not be planning on showing up. Thursday, Huang is scheduled for all the major scenes *SOLA*, as is Pittas, separately, *SOLO*. Angie is scheduled to rehearse with everyone on Friday, let us see what happens.

Gheorghiu should be offended and withdraw.

Much as that would be wonderful, I doubt we would be so lucky. Now, it would be nice to have a soprano who actually knows the role, can sing it and knows the staging. I mean, as opposed to one who falls apart in the same spot night after night and only cares about showing the audience how wonderful SHE is in the role.

Oh, you were serious about that statement?

#32 Please!!!!!!!!!! I would tell you to go fuck yourself, but I am too much of a gentleman.

  • Ian says:

I don’t think anyone needs to worry about a standby being able to pick up this particular staging. It’s hardly complicated, you just need some assistant director side stage to tell you before you go on which way you have to come on and which way you have to head off.

44 Sure you are. It shows. I enjoy nasty humor but that’s an exceptionally bigotted statement. how about this~ go fuck your mother.

    My comments –

Glad I am not the only one who noticed Gheorghiu falling apart in the same spot night after night, run after run.

The Met really needs to rethink its methods and policies for replacing singers. They are having too many disasters and near-disasters. This having to pull in 3 or 4 different singers to replace one who you suspected was going to default anyway is ridiculous especially if you are not bringing in someone with an exceptional reputation to begin with.

  • fkysnia says:

aaaaaaright so perhaps not your mom. that’s harsh. stop forcing my knee jerk reaction. Pittas is an awesome guy who doesn’t deserve half the disparaging comments he’s gotten here. Have faith in some of the new crop of singers coming out. Let him prove himself first. I know that he will.

La Cieca, please, things are taking a nasty turn.

Please – let’s quit the nastiness!
