“Discovering that music and fragrance have harmony and even individual notes in common has taken me on a delightful journey,” Fleming says. One port of call on this journey: “The Making of ‘The La Voce Renee Fleming Ad’ Promo” video.

I agree with a commenter above, or rather question, how much is Coty going to give to the MET. However, I also think that is the best part of it.

You know, Domingo doesn’t have a scent yet, does he? I can just imagine it, Coty releases “Latin Daddy”. Some proceeds to be donated to Washington National Opera and LA Opera.

Josephine: Talk of McCain makes me sad too. but not nearly as sad (or disgusted, or incredulous) as talk of/from Sarah Palin.

““Zyklon B by Elisabeth Schwarzkopf” remains a popular gift in Styria.”

I was having a nice little sip of water while reading, and then you made me spew water, Danny Thomas-style, all over my screen….

I don’t understand why someone should film a ‘Making of’ of a commercial which is going to sell the stuff. It’s a bit like ‘This is how we are going to trick you into buying this product’.
If miss Fleming wants to market a fragrance, it is great that she can: if actresses can have perfumes named after them, why not opera singers? On the other hand, I find it difficult to take these things really seriously, after I had seen stuff like this parodied on the Simpsons: “Meryl Streep’s Versatility. Smell like Streep for cheap.”

I am waiting to put some Palin’s Moose in my hair. In the 1850s in the US there was probably a parfume named for Jennie Lind; Americans went wild over her. And Mary Livingstone found out what expensive French perfume Babe Paley wore, and Mary bought 10 gallons of the stuff.(I found this in a history of CBS I read once.)( More of Mary Benny spending Jack’s money.)

Tim McGraw cologne is now on sale at Walgreens. Splash a lot of it on an old tanktop and you can smell like and sing like Tim. And Faith Hill will love you.

Tannengrin #12: On that dress pic, isn’t that a little cannabis leaf stenciled on the belly area?

  • High C's @ 4:20 says:

that is not a cannabis leaf

  • brooklynpunk says:

Is there any hidden meaning in Alex North having a message Feed the children of the world, right under her breasts?
