La traviata is better in translation
One of the loveliest translations I’ve enjoyed was Mado Robin’s recording of La traviata.

I remember buying the red album I think it had a rose or camellia on the cover. It was such a treat to hear the opera in French. Robin was an enchanting Violetta.
