A favorite Verdi performance from Brendan Latimer

My contribution this month honors the great Sherrill Milnes in his electrifying performance of Iago’s credo (1979, Met).

Not only was Milnes my gateway to opera, but my interview with him last year was my introduction to the incredible Parterre community. Milnes’s steely ring captured my attention as a kid and never let go. His maniacal embodiment of evil thrills me to this day.
