The Aix-en-Provence Festival’s revival of Louise was one of 2025’s most intriguing operatic events. With much of this summer’s cast returning to their roles in a revival of Christof Loy’s production at the Opéra National de Lyon later this month, Parterre Box features the production’s lead Elsa Dreisig in a much more popular French opera.

Today’s performance, an in-house recording documenting Dreisig’s Vienna debut, had been originally scheduled for Pretty Yende. Dreisig, who has sung Pamina in Berlin and Fiordiligi in Milan this fall, announced in December that she is pregnant.
