Bliss is of course, no stranger to Handel; in fact, he just last week put in his hours as the tenor soloist in Boston’s Handel and Haydn Society Messiah. But earlier this year, he added the role of Jupiter in Semele to his repertoire, first in Paris and later in London, each time opposite Pretty Yende. Today’s excerpts of Jupiter’s two most famous airs were captured in-house in London in June.

Handel: Semele, “I must with speed amuse her” and “Where’er you walk”
