Nothing makes me feel better than the 1966 Salzburg Festival Nozze

This performance truly “never fails to lift my mood.”

From the 1966 Salzburg Festival, Le Nozze di Figaro including Claire Watson, Reri Grist, Ingvar Wixell, Edith Mathis, Walter Berry, conducted by Karl Böhm. A sublime performance, and I’m especially taken by Reri Grist. In “Deh vieni,” her breath control supporting her legato is superb coming from such a petit singer. This performance truly “never fails to lift my mood.”
