It is rich in nuance and color, which fuses the meaning and interpretation of the text with the music into a unity that captivates me emotionally and creates a larger-than-life image of the father of the gods even without the visual impression. Hans Knappertsbusch‘s marvelous tempi give me plenty of space for this experience.
