Ahead of a broadcast in Europe on Arte on Sunday, parterre box has snagged a snippet of Asmik Grigorian‘s eagerly anticipated role debut as Norma in Vienna

“I’m very nervous and probably I will be the worst Norma on the planet,” Grigorian said last year in an interview with the AP. “But I do that because I need to keep my voice flexible. I want to learn many new things.”
Grigorian’s Norma is one of two vindictive Druids in Vienna this spring; Federica Lombardi‘s simultaneous stab at the role at the Staatsoper will be broadcast on March 15.
