The Met’s busy Music Director has extended his contract through the 2029-30 season. His prolonged tenure will encompass “all four operas of the Ring and a new staging of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde (both productions by director Yuval Sharon and featuring Davidsen),” as well as, “a new staging of Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro by Robert Carsen and revivals of Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Wagner’s Parsifal, and Puccini’s Tosca,” per the Met press office.

Also scheduled are productions of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Mason Bates, El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego by Gabriela Lena Frank, Lincoln in the Bardo by Missy Mazzoli, The Highlands by Carlos Simon, and The Wedding Banquet by Huang Ruo.
