La Cieca (not pictured) announces not one but two fascinating live video streams this afternoon! At 1:00 PM begins From the House of the Dead from the Bayerische Staatsoper in a startling new production by Frank Castorf conducted by Simone Young. This performance is scheduled to finish at 2:35……which more or less dovetails with the beginning of Lessons in Love and Violence, livestreamed from the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, with a 2:30 PM start time.
Either or both may be the topics of this afternoon’s chat, cher public. Our Own JJ returns next Saturday with his YouTube stream-and-chat afternoon show.
