Hello, hello, cher public? You called, I can’t hear a thing. Well, actually at the moment I can’t hear your chat, which is the problem. The software used for the regular “La Casa della Cieca” chat is somehow mucking up the smooth operation of the site, and so, for the moment, your doyenne asks to you chat in an alternate fashion, to be explained after the jump.

For today’s broadcast of Cav/Pag at least, La Cieca will create a new post (this one) to use for discussion of the broadcast. Enter your discussion and general chatter as you would a normal parterre comment. After you hit the “enter” button the page will refresh and at that point you can see any new comments.

Of course, if you don’t have anything to say and you want to keep up with the conversation, you can manually refresh by hitting F5 (Windows) or Command-R (Mac).

The parterre technical team will continue to look into the chat issue, especially as we move forward with a relaunch of the entire site this spring. In the meantime, you can also use the comments area of this post to discuss what features you want in a parterre chat… including whether a comment-based chat like this one is sufficient.
