Susan Graham (pictured) and Piotr Beczala are the latest additions to the roster of “WQXR Presents Metropolitan Opera Spring Highlights” at The Greene Space on Monday, April 6 at 7:00 PM. And a lucky parterrian +1 will be special guests at the event!
WQXR’s Naomi Lewin invites you to “hear favorite selections from the company’s spring productions sung by current Met stars, including Albina Shagimuratova (Lucia di Lammermoor), Oksana Dyka (Aida), Piotr Beczala (Un Ballo in Maschera) and George Gagnidze (Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci), plus special cameo appearances by other Met artists.” She adds that “The evening also includes a sneak peek at the new staging of Cav/Pag by director Sir David McVicar.”
And how, here’s how you can join in the festivities, cher public. Whoever answers the following trivia question first will receive a pair of free tickets to the event. La Cieca asks you please to attempt to answer the question only if you are available to attend the concert on Monday evening. (La Cieca’s decision as to the winner of this quiz is final.)
Now, here’s your question:
The Greene Space is right around the corner from a townhouse where dwelt a legendary diva for nearly half a century. Name that diva and her (now former) address.
