    Interesting spectrum of opinions regarding Gheorghiu’s Adriana in Paris:

    -- Le Figaro trashes her: “A trivial and affected diva, Gheorghiu wrecks Adriana Lecouvreur”;

    -- ForumOpera’s critic is overall negative (small voice, etc);

    -- FomalHaut Blog is more even-handed;

    -- Olyrix critic says it was a clear triumph;

    -- Asopera critic praises her technique, and says the two arias were great, but the monologue not so much;

    -- La Lettre du Musicien critic says the opposite (the two arias were okay, but she was “absolutely magnificent” in the monologue, which matches her volcanic temperament)!;

    -- André Tubeuf from L’oeil and l’oreille places her performance in a league above Tebaldi, and compares her with Magda Olivero, etc.
