A night at the museum

Move over, Sam Ramey, there’s a new Timur in town. The “dark glam opera band” Timur and the Dime Museum, fronted by “rising opera singer from Kazakhstan Timur Bekbosunov,” wails tonight at the PROTOTYPE festival. And a couple of luck parterre readers will be there to witness the group’s “post-kitsch underworld glamour” (Flavorpill LA)

The first two readers to email tickets@here.org with the subject line “Timur and the Dime Museum – Cher Public” will receive a pair of tickets to the following performance:

Timur and the Dime Musem
Saturday, January 12, 11PM

O pfui! Too bad I ain’t in New Yawk as I am dying to experience “post-kitsch underworld glamour”.

I wonder how much glitter eyeshadow plus eyeliner to wear…thong or g-string optional…nipple rings on or off…black leather with violet or with chartreuse…? Decisions, decisions. Yes, too bad I am not only not in NYC but am far too old as well.

Well darn, didn’t see this till after I got home from SOLDIER SONGS — well worth seeing. But bring earplugs.

For some reason when I try to get into the first chat I cannot get in so that is why I am posting this here. I will try again later and see if it works.

I cannot get into the test chat room. My computer freezes up for a minute, and then I get a message that Parterre.com is not responding.

(Sorry for leaving this O/T message in this thread.)
