Her song recitals were always events too, but I never heard her do anything better than that recital which included the Seven Early Songs of Berg. Her French song recital was wonderful also, with Dame de Monte Carlo as the finale. And always that gorgeous Hahn song as an encore. I traveled to Brussels to hear her in that for a second time last year. She was not as good as a couple of years ago, but still, an unforgettable night. Many Happy Returns!
