I hope the photo on the cover of Dark Hope is the result of overly enthusiastic photo-shopping, and not the overly enthusiastic nipping/tucking. It makes her look rather Donatella-esque.

Thom Yorke has got to be vomiting copiously somewhere right now.

    ooohhhh, urggghhhh.

  • Baltsamic Vinaigrette says:

Maybe, but then it doesn’t take much to have Thom chucking it up in copious quantities.

    Pity about him.

Here’s is the video bonus to Renee’s new recording from her pal Martha Stewart:

That ISN’T Renee Singing Creep, Ninny’s.

From what I’ve heard, The new CD is FINE! What a good way to introduce a boring aged demographic to some very amazing Songs by a generation they have little interest in. Have any of you ever even been to an Arcade Fire Show, or Muse? I’m 30, go Dancing every weekend, wear Skinny Jeans and Deep V’s, American Apparel, Love Hipster Culture, and Indie Rock. Love: Madonna, Bjork, Electro-clash etc…

I also Have about 900 Opera’s and Recitals on Disc and LP, DVD too. Have every original Callas Pressing on Vinyl… Autographs from Renee Fleming, Beverly Sills, Sutherland…even Mitzi Gynor. I’m obsessed with Donizetti and Bellini, Gruberova singing them especially.

There is room and a place and an audience for everything and anything. Renee is a Goddess and a babe, and I hope she has many long years left.

OMG eeek. That better have been her sister or one of her daughters….it would be a very sad day indeed if that was Renee I just heard. I actually used to respect her.

  • armerjacquino says:

People either can’t read or hear. Anyone who thinks that is or even could be Renee Fleming has tin ears. And it’s been pointed out several times.

Davideanne, you ‘hipster’ you, while I broadly agree with you I’d be careful of the assumptions you make. There are plenty of posters here in their 30s or younger.

NB skinny jeans are SO 2008.

  • PirateJenny says:

I would just like to point out to the amazingly hip and happenin’ Davideanne that the April Fool’s joke was noted by much earlier posters – with less random approaches to capitalization and pluralization.

  • PirateJenny says:

Usually one tries to be more conciliatory, but one simply cannot tolerate being called a ninny by a person who cannot spell ninnies.

  • BETSY_ANN_BOBOLINK says:

    (Sotto voce) Ninus’.
