La Cieca is naturally distressed that all these favorite videos of hers should be unavailable on YouTube, but she pledges she will re-establish her presence there, thanking you in advance for your patience and support. In the meantime, she reminds you that there are some favorite clips still available at Google Video.

All sarcasm aside, you have never told us how it is you can always get your accounts reinstated, when the rest of us cannot?
I tried to get my old account back. No luck (the only way was showing proof that I owned the right to the videos of Caballe in Norma from Madrid and the Caballe in Maria Stuarda from Barcelona, and of course I cannot.)
Like I said in a previous post, if I was wrong I am sorry. I am a lover, not a fighter, I did feel very uncomfortable making these accusations, it’s not in my nature. But the thought of another opera fan gagging my cybervoice, that was too much for a simple gay boy to take!
So I had to let everyone know what happened.
So do I think you should rot in a cyber-jail cell…? No. Just hearing the truth would be a nice change of pace. And if not that, then maybe explaining to us how you get your accounts back.

deviafan has mentioned me a few times, we have been in correspondence and he has alerted me to this thread. I thought I could offer my view as to what has been going on here.
There is no doubt in my mind that the person who posts videos on youtube under the name Onegin65 and Oneguin65 is the person suspending so many accounts in the last week or so.
He is responsible for suspending the accounts of Gabba02, mekarts, loganfacincy26, and I know he has removed several videos from pdefeeo.
It is true that Onegin65 himself has had his account suspended, and he has had it reinstated many times. The reason his account is suspended is because of complaints by real companies claiming copyright violation for commercially available videos, presumably from the Australian company he mentions. He had my sympathies when this was happening, as I did not want to see so many opera videos disappear. I even wrote to him a long time ago to warn him that some of his videos were in risk of being removed because they had been removed from my own account before.
I had no gripe against Onegin65 before this happened, I enjoyed his videos and had favourited many of them.
So I take no pleasure in telling everyone what this man has done.
What I believe has happened is that in attempting to get his account restored, Onegin65 has managed to get hold of an electronic signature which enabled him to counter all copyright claims. Any time a video was removed and his account suspended, he sent a counter-claim and within weeks his account was restored and his videos reinstated. It didn’t take long, though, before Onegin realized the power this gave him. Not only could he reinstate his own videos, he could actually remove the videos of his “rivals”.
You see, the way copyright works on youtube is rather unsophisticated. No more than a *claim* of copyright violation is needed to have videos removed and the account suspended. All that is needed along with this claim is a physical or electronic signature. But similarly, if no more than a signature is needed for suspending videos, so is it only needed for reinstating them.
The name that Onegin is using “ByOnegin S.L” was taken out as a copyright by him. I discovered this simply by googling the phrase. I happened upon his website which you can see for yourself:

This website links to all his youtube videos and has been up for as long as his account was first suspended. Thus, when he was first suspended, he took out this copyright in order to have an electronic signature in a “company” name and not his own personal name (thus remaining anonymous) and enabling him to restore his account. All emails in recent weeks suspending opera videos have had attached this company name.
I suspect there will be more suspensions in the future as Onegin’s meglomania seems to hold no bounds.
You may think, “why would Onegin be so stupid as to take out copyright on a name that gives away his identity if he was going to do this?”
Answer: Simple, this wasn’t originally his intention. He took it out simply to restore his own account and only *after* did the idea occur to him to suspend his “rivals”.
deviafan is right in highlighting that the videos removed are ones Onegin himself has uploaded in some form, either on youtube or emule.
Don’t ask me why Onegin is acting this way, but there is no doubt that he is. I am very sad for it as it is destruction of much beauty, but there is nothing to be done except to let as many people know as possible what is happening.

Please, Onegin, how about easing up now? All we want to do is to enjoy some beautiful music clips in an pretty bleak world. Is that too much to ask?
I notice that Onegin has now made his website password protected. Nevertheless what was there can still be found by googling “byoneginsl” and pressing cache.
He can claim that he has never heard of this name “byoneginsl” all he wants, but there is no doubt that that this website is his. It links to all his youtube videos and it even has his bad mispelling “wellcome”. It stretches all conceivability to imagine that someone is “framing” him by producing this circumstantial evidence. And the fact that he is now trying to hide the website (and thus the evidence, so to speak) is the proof of all proofs.
I think it’s case closed, isn’t it?

I agree, the case is closed. I don’t know how you could do; you leave all the false traet BUT you forget your website protected passport. Surely, months ago and you forgot.
He was hard decipher this madness. Nevertheless, Gabba, you know, the perfect crime doesn’t exist.
I didn’t know that happened nor why accused me. Now I can accuse surely: Gabba01 02 and 03 is the person to take control of my alias and falsely sends reports to cancel accounts on Youtube. He has explained perfectly since it does.

Anyone who wants to see the “original” website before Onegin’s “fixes” can google “byoneginsl” and press cache and see it all still there.
The great thing about the internet Onegin is you can always recover information from somewhere.

This protracted cat fight over small online opera videos has created a space time continuum “gayness vortex” of such truly cosmic proportions that I feel I have to go watch Nascar now!!
You know, I had wondered what happened to a lot of vids and user that were mysteriously suspended. now I know. It’s realyl too bad that Onegin, or Oneguin, or whoever the hell he is has done this. The beauty of opera on You Tube is that we can all experience operas and/or singers that we may never have a chance to see live, or new singers that we DO still have a chance to see but don’t know anything about. I loved LaCieca’s vids because everything he put up was first rank singing. I had subscribed to Oneguin’s vids, but no longer. I wonder how long it will be before he lays claim to every opera video in the entire world. It’s really too bad, but after doing my own research, I have unfortunately come to the same conclusion as Gabba. Oneguin is not being honest, and his lies are woefully transparent. I would seriously implore him to cease his attacks on other YouTube users, because the REAL POINT of all this is that those of us who post on you tube do so to share what we have with others, because we want others to see and hear and (hopefully enjoy) that which we ourselves treasure. I really don’t think that this little note will compel him to change his ways or persuade him to rethink his actions, but I felt I had to say something. Three of my MOST FAVORITE vids on You Tube were LaCieca’s. I’m sad about it and it really incences me that someone who acts like he loves opera so much would stoop to taking it away from other people.
So sad how it just takes one person to shit in the pool…
