La Cieca is the pen name of James Jorden, the founder and editor of parterre.com. “La Cieca” has served as gossip columnist for parterre since it was founded as a zine in 1993. Meanwhile James has written for The New York Times, The New York Post, Opera and other pubications. He is currently an opera critics for the Observer.
