A favorite Verdi performance from La Grunowa

I realize Igor Gorin did not sing much Verdi except for a few Papa Germonts, yet this performance of the famous baritone aria from Attila I claim is well-night perfect singing.

He reveals in his distinctive hazelnut timbre, and in his singing, I love the upward pull toward a tenorish brilliance at times. Perfect marriage of legato and diction, and when the music swells, his voice rides it with splendor.
