Eleanor Parker, as always is totally over-the-top and the incredible Eileen Farrell does Marjorie Lawrence’s voice. There were so many incredible clips of her singing on stage. It was hard to choose one.

This is really one of my favorite opera movies.

I fell in love with Eleanor Parker, the music, and the kitschy grandness of the set. Of course, I later learned it was the singing voice of Eileen Farrell. To this day I think it is the best opera bio film of a bygone era.
