The first time I saw it was with Beverly Sills, and it was memorable. The version I want to share is Anna Netrebko in the Wiener Staatsoper production with Garanca and D’Arcangelo.

I think it is a thrilling piece of music. There are wonderful moments for everyone and it just builds to an incredible climax. I think the performers in this production give their all and make the scene very thrilling. Netrebko always gives her all and I think she’s just incredible in this production.
