Unreleased cut

Recent rapturous musings about Huw Montague Rendall and curiosity about Aigul Akhmetshina‘s return to the Met as Rosina in May have prompted the box to share a recent sample of the pair in “Dunque io son.”

The two joined up last spring for a gala to celebrate 22 years of Antonio Pappano‘s leadership at the Royal Ballet and Opera House.

Akhmetshina’s season includes engagements as Rosina in both New York and Paris whereas Montague Rendall’s is thus far limited to Mozart, Pelléas, and various concertizing.
