She out-sings most of the big names in her repertoire. She has vocal security, strong high and low notes (and everything in between), a rich sound, a large voice, and plenty of pathos. Both roles I’ve seen her in rank among the most complete role assumptions I’ve seen. Her Fedora, in what was a role debut, can easily stand comparison with the very best on record.
