Dear Parterrians,

As some of you know, I have made the decision to wind down On This Day postings at the end of this year – the final post will be on December 31. It’s been a lot of fun, especially with the “singers’ birthdays opera casts” and the witty titles that James and then Harry developed. I was most touched by those of you who have posted special memories of singers and performers, especially those of the past who are unfamiliar to younger opera fans. Harry, Chris, and Nick are developing some exciting new plans for daily posts on parterre, and I can’t wait to see how they will develop! It’s been my privilege for all these years!
