I just saw Boheme with Michael Fabiano and Ailyn Perez. Gorgeous, sensitive singing from both of them. Wow, his voice sure is sweet. I was at the Met finals they made that movie from, and mostly what I remember about his singing at that time was the power and intensity. But tonight, along with gleaming high note, he showed me that his lower and middle voice can be quite simple and sweet, with a lovely vibrato. I’m sold! I think he also honed down his singing a bit to match Perez. She of such exquisite singing. Not a big voice, but a flawlessly sung, poetic Mimi with a gorgeous tone.

    • gahh I so wish I could see this on Saturday! Fingers crossed I can get that rush ticket.
