Georgian bass Giorgi Manoshvili will check off debuts at three of the world’s most important opera houses this year: the Metropolitan Opera, where he’s currently singing Colline, the Royal Ballet and Opera, where he’ll reprise the same role in July, and La Scala, where he will sing Escamillo opposite Clémentine Margaine‘s Carmen in June.

Guetti, currently in his final season as a featured ensemble member at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, has performed a particularly varied repertoire this past season including Osmin opposite the Belmonte of Anthony León, who was also recently featured on Grand Tier Grab Bag, and the Grand Inquisitor in Berlin in January. He recently wrapped up performances as Fafner in the Salzburg Easter Festival’s Das Rheingold, conducted by Kirill Petrenko, and he’ll reprise that role next spring on the West Coast when San Francisco Opera brings back their Ring conducted by Eun Sun Kim.
