Dessay’s farewell tour, with pianist Phillippe Cassard, will conclude at the Opéra national de Paris on 30 March in a program that includes mélodie by Ravel, Chausson, and Hahn, as well as Samuel Barber‘s Knoxville: Summer of 1915. Some of this program will also appear on her upcoming album to be released in April.

She will pick up again a few weeks later in performances of Gypsy opposite her daughter Neïma Naouri as Louise at the Philharmonie de Paris following a brief run earlier this month at the Opéra National de Lorraine. She provided an intriguing preview of that role late last year:
