For the week of Halloween, La Cieca offers her cher public a particularly SPOOKY competition. First, listen to the composite clip below of various artists singing Ulrica’s aria from Un ballo in maschera. Then, if you think you can identify all 13 singers, do so via email to [email protected]. The first email received with all 13 weird sisters identified correctly and in the correct order will receive this stupendous prize: Cult Opera of the 1970s, a 10 DVD collection of studio opera productions taped in Hamburg in the 1970s.

The Halloween Quiz

The fine print: contest ends at midnight, October 31. Only one entry per email address will be accepted. Should there be no entry with all correct answers by the end of the contest, La Cieca will choose a winner randomly from those entries tying with the most correct answers. La Cieca’s decisions in the matter of this contest and all other things are final.

UPDATE:  The correct number of singers in the quiz is 13, not 11 as previously announced.
