    Prompter quite audible here lol

  • fletcher

Tremendous singing (apart from those big high notes at the end)

    • swordsnsolvers

Yes a wonderful interpretation from Owens, he is living up to what I hoped for. He tends to run afoul of certain notes but his timbre is soo lovely I can forgive a lot

  • swordsnsolvers

Oh yeah here comes the Todesverkundigung

    • fletcher

      …not loving this :(

      • Rowna Sutin

        A little lacking in energy?

        • Ivy Lin

sort of missing a sense of connection between siegmund and brunn …

          • Rowna Sutin

            Hi Ivy!

            • Ivy Lin

Hi rowna! have to go to bed but will try to hang on till the end of act 2 …

  • Rowna Sutin

Well I think this is building well!

  • Nell TuoCuor

we heard a talk last night by John Irving — he talked about knowing how you want a story to end and then NOT starting at that same intensity so you have somewhere to build from. A very interesting guy. Doubt if he’s an Opera guy.

  • Rowna Sutin

    Still disappointed???? Pas moi!

    • fletcher

Nah, it picked right up -- I thought they were both a little shaky at the beginning of the scene with those long low-lying phrases. Here we go with the end now --

  • fletcher

    !!!

  • Nelly della Vittoria

Geh! Geh! Oh it’s all so intense for a Wednesday evening.

  • Nell TuoCuor

    I’m hiding under the desk… :-)

  • Rowna Sutin

I will prob not make act 3. I have to wake up at 4 am for a flight to CA. Oh well. At least i caught the first 2 acts. Night all my friends!

  • Nell TuoCuor
