Count on the New York Times to include in a photo caption all the information you really wanted to know.
You’re wicked, eh?
Oh yeah, it’s easy to SAY you’re a top, but who knows what really happens in the bedroom??
There was a similar situation in Playbill 10 years ago when “Lestat” opened on Broadway. There was this photo captioned “Carolee Carmello, Jack Noseworthy and Hugh Panaro (bottom)” that garnered a lot of tittering and jokes.
Eventually the editor changed the caption to “Hugh Panaro (laying)”
Oh dear -- I’m not sure that corrected the situation.
Perhaps Hugh Panaro was “lying”? Otherwise, he could be in a very compromising transitive situation.
…or he could have been “playing”.
No he was “laying” -- we don’t know who, what or why.
