While everyone is still buzzing about this year’s Salzburg Easter Festival, I was visited by the Ghost of Easter Past. The spirit took me back to 2010 (Götterdämmerung was the opera that year) to a glorious Verdi Requiem with the Berliner Philharmoniker led by Mariss Jansons and two of my favorite contemporary singers: Krassimira Stoyanova and Jonas Kaufmann.

I scheduled this performance several weeks ago, but it now takes on a special significance in light of the ongoing tragedy in Nepal. I hope you will consider joining me in making a contribution to a humanitarian aid organization.
