  • Orlando Furioso

One of my three alltime favorite mezzos, AND my favorite conductor, together! Bliss!! My thanks to all who helped make this available.

Berganza’s Decca recording of Rossini arias was one of my first LPs. She was magnificent! I still listen to her regularly.

  • La Valkyrietta

Thanks for this, most enjoyable. La Berganza certainly has “una grazia, un certo incanto”. I only saw her live once at the Met in the late sixties as Cherubino and have never forgotten that performance. I still ponder her inquiry, “Che cosa è amor?”

  • La Valkyrietta

    Orlando Furioso,

The conducting in this is certainly wonderful. I wonder who your other two favorite mezzos are.
