    One wonders if that last quote didn’t assure Mary of complimentary Pierce-Arrow motor cars at intervals for the rest of her life.

      For sure, Will. That’s what it’s all about, and
      maybe a nice check to boot.
      But don’t you recall when Bartoli was chauffeured from
      NYC to Chi in a white Rolls “because I don’t like to fly!” I wonder what little Cici got for that endorsement? Remarkably, there were photographers
      and newsmen all along the way. Where did she spend
      the night? Toledo? South Bend?
      Ah, them wuz the days.
