With almost frightening speed, floridante2k nailed our most recent Regie quiz. It was indeed Bizet’s Carmen, as reimagined for L’Opéra de Lyon by Olivier Py.

Picture one looks an awful lot like a representation of the Venusberg, and I can sort of see the other two images fitting in.
By the way, that Carmen is a laugh riot. When the bare-bosomed cigarette girls came out in Act 1, I was reminded of the finale of Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life.
