I know! I’ve always loved this. That look is a look of both disgust and genuine pity. Like real, straight up pity.
But she also knows exactly when to come in, and doesn’t defer to their mistake, as well she shouldn’t.
I look at this like an accident, want to look away in disgust, just can’t.
A Major miscalculation. The dress, the look, standing in FRONT of Maria Callas and dueting to and with HER voice, releasing in fluff pieces in the press that YOUR voice is richer than a taped Callas?
It wreaks of a kind of disrespect that has disappointed many of her AG fans over the years. A FALSE bravado. This HOMAGE coming from a woman who years ago with his husband echoing same, that SHE, Angela G. was better than Callas, etc. etc.
Selling opera has become a curious thing to watch. She hints at scars that never felt a wound. You aren’t Callas. You shouldn’t be, different artist, different feel. This is a crass manipulation of a great artist(callas) without her approval, much like this happens with Callas. Every one uses her and her image and her voice when they need something serious and artistic and wonderful lacking in their own offering. Very disappointing choice from someone AG I try so hard to like.
Do the new boobs finally give us the REAL reason she pulled out of R&J?

I see that AG seems to have adopted RF’s “I touch myself” theatrics in order to express heightened emotion — except that where RF likes to fuss with her face and hair, AG can’t seem to keep her hands away from her boobs.
