Revealed: James Levine has had two back surgeries since the spring, but is described (by Tom Levine) as “very, very positive and very, very optimistic.” [NYT]

    I do hope he is going to be fine this time, but I wonder if he shouldn’t take more time resting because the problem reoccurred as soon as he got back to work after the first surgery. Levine seems such a driven personality that I wouldn’t be surprised if he is pushing his body when he shouldn’t. I bet you he is going crazy with his reduced activities.
