I will forever love the Met because, among other things, it gave me Rysanek in Tannhauser. I wish they had made a video of that.
By the way, not long ago I saw Voigt perform in the same wonderful production at the Met and loved her, even if, I think, this was post-Covent Garden flimsy cocktail dress stuff. Her Senta, though, had many really bad parts. I will go back to it hoping.
The season is almost over. Who will replace who? The ticket I have so I will go for sure is to see Marlis (sp?). Will she cancel like Stratas? Are we going to see Migenes-Johnson?
