Regie Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off
Congratulations LogeLizard for so adeptly pinpointing Manon Lescaut as the solution to our most recent Regie quiz. The production was by Graham Vick for the Teatro la Fenice, and we have a glimpse of this regie in action after the jump.
Now, to work. Can someone please explain the following Panic at the Disco?

My comment to the video: Riso insolente! Great with Fava and chianti.
“It’s a naive domestic risotto without any breeding, but I think you’ll be amused by its presumption.”
Amuze booche!
Good for you, Cieca. How welll I know that line of James Thurber’s!!! I
have his cartoon, original cutline and all, hanging above my kitchen bar. It
often applies
Gianni Schicchi???
Looks light-hearted so I’ll go with l’Italiana in Algeri. But what fun if it turns out to be Lucia.
Don Giovanni
I would say Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk.
Regarding the Manon Lescaut, I was told there were HUGE problems between Graham Vick and the cast. The tenor, Walter Fraccaro, absolutely refused to wear short pants in the first act. The second cast tenor, though, had to wear them.
looks like don pasquale.
therefore it must be macbeth or otello.
CAPULETI
Cunning Little Vixen?
I’m going with Don Pasquale or possibly Gianni Schicchi. Obvious but they would work.
the 2nd photo just screams Pasquale, but that second woman in the casket picture poses a problem. So I’m gonna go with Il Matrimonio Segreto
Or Die Schweigsame Frau which is of course Don Pasquale without the catchy tunes but with the extra woman in the shape of Morosus’s housekeeper.
Clearly, it’s Le Nozze di Figaro!
