E avanti a chat tremava tutta Roma
La Cieca proposes an “experimental” chat tonight during the PBS/Channel 13 showing of Tosca as recorded at the Met earlier this year. The telecast begins at 9:00, and La Cieca would like to try out the coveritlive chat interface during the show. (So be here around 9:00 pm, ready to comment…)
No good. My PBS station isn’t showing it until December 27th.
Maryland Public Television (available in DC as well) is also showing it at 9 tonight. Unfortunately my TV and computer are in different rooms.
Same problem here. Tv and desktop are in two different rooms, and my laptop is not connected to Internet. I should definitely go wireless.
Tonight is an experiment with the coveritlive.com interface, a more sophisticated chat program than what we’ve been using until now. So if you feel like logging in just to get the feel, please do. If the experiment is successful, we’ll get it running formally for the next Saturday Met broadcast on the 19th.
I don’t have a TV. I rarely regret this, but right now I do. Have fun guys.
(Opera on Hulu! Please!)
2nd that one!
do you guys know of the NYC channel has a web interface that shows their programming? That could be a way.
I guess Met player is the Hulu of opera. I just noticed that Tosca will be on Met player in HD tomorrow (12/17/09). Unfortunately I cancelled my Met player subscription because for some reason it wouldn’t work on my computer anymore. Ironically, Hulu works like a charm.
la cieca, carissima,
you can’t come up with the italian word for chat???? whassamatta witchyu????????
Unfortunately Italians, with their mania for everything American, use the word “chat”, e “chat room”. They even coined the verb “ciattare”. It’s a big pet peeve of mine, this indiscriminate adopting foreign words.
Yes, as La Cieca says, even if the Tosca telecast is impractical for you, please visit the chat if you are inclined, or bored, and let her know what you think of the new “embedded chat module.”
