Hmmm, what is the special ingredient of Pizza La Voce …? The trouble is, it’s bound to come out overdone, but soft in the middle.

  • MontyNostry says:

… and the eggs will definitely be hard-boiled.

  • kashania says:

Oh please, everyone knows that Denny’s is more Renee’s thing.

  • I’m sure she was as surprised as the rest of us when she found out that the office of America’s Sweetheart was technically a post of the U.S. Navy.

  • laragazza says:

She already has a pricey perfume of her own for sale in the Met shop. I think it’s called “Diva”. In fact, there is a whole section devoted to Renee-abilia. I wonder what proportion of the sales she gets for using her name and image ad nauseum.

Whoops! I got the name wrong.

    La Voce Perfume
    $200.00 (Member Price $200.00)

In honor of Met star Renée Fleming, Coty, the world’s largest fragrance company, has created La Voce by Renée Fleming, a limited-edition fragrance that was launched on September 22 to coincide with the Opening Night Gala of the Met’s 125th anniversary season, starring Fleming. A portion of La Voce by Renée Fleming proceeds are donated to the Met.

I was at the Met on Saturday (for the first time ever! for the matinee of Turandot) and smelled La Voce; there were no price tags on it, but I assumed it wasn’t very expensive, because it certainly smelled cheap, a vulgar fruity floral of the sort you can find a hundred versions of in any department store. What a shock to read here that it’s $200.

  • Camille says:

LA VOCE Pizza II smells sweet but leaves an agrodolce aftertaste. bagrodolce aftertaste

…leaves an agrodolce aftertaste. bagrodolce aftertaste

I thought this was a kind of Italianate Yiddishism, like “opera shmopera” – agrodolce, bagrodolce.

  • Camille says:

Blame it on the Blackberry. Should end after the first ‘aftertaste’.

  • Camille says:

    HA!

Cieca — what happened to Opera Milf ?? Has it, je l’espere, been eclipsed by the stupendous La Scoopenda??

Am listening to Damnation and what in HELL has happened to OLGA’s high notes???

    • Noel Dahling says:

“Look for them only in books,
for they are no more than a Dream Remembered,
notes that are Gone With the Wind.”

      • Camille says:

        OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
        Not Olga!
Has she been smoking, as I’ve heard rumoured, or is it just menopause or teenage children that has done her in?
