critics. There was a similar comment in an ENO
Rigoletto review about a week or so ago “Why a North American singer”….
There is a strong “buy British” theme in some of the UK critics.
What an incredibly daft thing to say. Yet one more reason why I’m glad I don’t read the Telegraph, a newspaper that wishes it was 1908.

it’s an international market; those little bit parts seem small, but are worth a lot when you consider the vastness of the talent pool.
Never mind that Mr. Creswell has a British agent and has been a member of the Komische Oper for several years now.
