Who would write the music for Cobra Woman — The Opera, though?

  • Harry says:

Maria Montez : was the queen of all those old matinee’ films we saw as kids.
A now deceased friend of mine once told me of his friendship as a neighbor and frequent house guest of Maria Montez ans her then husband Jean Pierre Aumont, in Paris. He maintained that rather than the report of ‘accidental drowning’ bandied about, to protect reputations: she in fact died tragically at her own hand in her own bath. Why I inquired? The friend said it was because she could not take Jean Pierre’s philandering, any more. The friend also admitted to me, he was one of many that ‘covered the waterfront’ with Aumont. Even one night while Maria detracted, made the coffee.

I always thought Grace was the Pam Grier of opera.
