All times are EDT. Check back at parterre.com for chat postings at the respective start times.
Remember, the MetPlayer preview starts today at 5:00 pm. La Cieca suggests you go to metplayer.org sometime this evening to set up your preview membership. If you have any recommendations of particular “finds” on the site, please let La Cieca and your fellow cher public know!
No Linux support. Damn. That means I have to boot into Window$. Why? When Linux has codecs for anything else you can play in Windows or on the Macintosh?
“I don’t see anything that indicates a temporary membership is required. Am I missing something?”
If you already log in as a MOG member (as I do), that’s enough.
i cant seem to get subtitles. there is no pull down menu. using firefox. anyone experience same problem
There are no subtitles for Audio-only titles, and the dropdown menu only appears for the videos. Sometimes you just have to refresh the browser to get them going if they don’t initially appear with the videos. And if you have less than 64 MB of Video RAM, it could be a problem.
there is a bgray box that appears briefly but it dissapears as soon as I start playing the video. refreshing it does not sovle the problem

@ika: if you switch to full-screen, do you see the control bar at the bottom of the page? if not, you’re having some problem with flash. have you tried internet explorer?
I tried full screen but don’t see any box at the bottom. I tried IE but metplayer seems to be loading and loading and never loads
@ ika – sounds like Flash issues. You probably need to adjust some flash settings, and make sure Flash is allowing third party content. Google “Adobe Flash Settings” and play with the adjustments for Storage and Security.
