Just so you know: the little faun is Piotr Beczala — as Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte. There are more photos of this production online (click on “Piotr Beczala – Stage Images”)

Press kit photo of the one-off production of “Fedora meets Carrie” starring Piper Laurie (who took the title literally) and Terence Stamp (who mis-read his character’s name as Lois). “Lois” is singing the aria ‘Amor ti Vieta not to give me your extra ticket’. Her rejoinder is “Go to your closet and pray!” For some unknown reason director Mary Zimmerman chose to set the piece on the “Alien” planet where Loris’ mother and brother pop out of the eggs in a dream sequence after Fedora dies.

    “Come sa amare.”

So glad to hear it really was Beczala – but what kind of a Cosi was this?
